My baby is growing up and freaking me out a little more each day.
Last Monday was his first day of school for the new year. He asked the night before if I could NOT take him to school.. Huh WTF? So I ask him, “do you want me to just throw you on the bus and let you fend for yourself finding your class etc?” He picks up his head in excitement and says,”that would be great thanks mom!”
I look at him like he just grew three green horns out of his head. Everyone else’s mom will be there Johnny why can’t I go? He rebuts that not everyone’s mom will be there. Like who’s mom won’t be there on the first day I ask?
Wait for it… Wait for it…
“Well mine for one.. Mwahahaha!”
Smart assed little shit. He got his way and I put him on the bus the next morning. But he couldn’t stop me from standing at the driveway waiting on the bus home. Ha take that shithead!

Yessh do they REALLY make us moms ghosts when they hit that age? *Looks horrified* Although I have to admit that waiting for him after school did make me chuckle. =0)
