I’m so loving two plugins I recently found and added to the site. Let me introduce you to WordVerify and Comment Time Out…
WordVerify let’s you set a code word in your admin panel which visitors will need to enter in order for their comment to be submitted. This should really cut down on the tons of spambot comments I get on a daily basis. I’ve never really understood why my readers prefer to send emails to me instead of posting comments but either way yay I’m just glad they even read this site. So when a new comment moderation email hits my inbox I pretty much know from the start it’s spam which gets on my last nerve most of the time. I’ve only had the plugin installed a few hours and already it’s making a difference!!
Comment Time Out is also a kick ass plugin!!
This let’s you select a time frame in the admin panel which will then turn off the ability to comment on posts older than the time frame you set. The majority of my spam comments come from posts older than 30 days so this plugin is going to be a real sanity saver.
