Hyper = no Concerta. Wow, I could think of 1,000 things for hyper but none of them near as funny. LOL
Becky thanks for visiting!! My son who I call the Midget has ADHD. He takes concerta to get a handle on his hyperactivity. I really hate that he needs to take it so we only give it to him on weekdays for school. Once those weekend days or days they are out of school for vacation rolls around he doesn’t take it. So on those non-concerta days it’s like trying to wrangle a rodeo clown into submission he’s so hyper.. LoL
LOL…I’ve dealt with that with my 18 year old son. My advice…give it to him on weekends too. It will make like easier on both of you. I take it too. On the days I don’t take it, I’m irritable and grumpy, and my brain goes haywire.

Yeppers it is kind of hard to deal with on the days he doesn’t take it. But I feel like I’m robbing him of his childhood freedom if I make him take it every day. We skip it on weekends and like Christmas and Summer break. I’m just so truly glad that we found the concerta it helps him to focus and really improved his school life. But at the same time it doesn’t turn him into a complete zombie, which I’m so thankful for. The weekends are spent usually with him outdoors for the most part riding 4wheelers, go carts, playing in the tree house etc so he burns off a lot of his energy and restlessness so they seem to balance out. I can tell you though if we have to go some where for an event or are doing a meet n greet with a celeb for my parent’s purse company you can bet good money the Midget has his pill 1st thing that morning.. LoL
