The day was pretty easy at work nothing major going on. Daddy-O had his handyman run that networking cable across the field between my place and the shop today. Now I can work a little easier from either location. I hate nothing more than being in one location when I realize the files I need are actually on the other machine. Will get it hooked up to the system at the shop and install the new hardware I bought for that box probably Thursday.
The midget went for a 4wheeler adventure with Rick today. He had a blast!! The kid really enjoys his super uber expensive 4wheeler but since he’s only 10 we don’t allow him to leave our road. Today though since Rick went with him he got permission and went off exploring the back roads by our home. He found a gator hole! Yeah tell me I wasn’t freaking at the mere mention of this location.. But he had a ball and found a new place to fish as well. He tore into the large wet ditches of some of the cotton and corn fields out here generally just had the time of his life.
When he got back home we headed out for dinner. Ash had to work a little late so John and I went to McGehee for Chinese. Since we were headed to McGehee the midget called James to see if he was on duty tonight. He was on patrol so we got him to take dinner break with us and met up at the China Garden.
I had the yummiest Honey Shrimp! Man that stuff was like pure heaven, I only had a small portion of it since it was fried and covered in honey but yummy it was.. John was so tired and still feeling the effects of his concerta starting to wear off so he was extremely quiet. James couldn’t stand it, he’s never seen him so quiet. All through dinner James kept threatening to handcuff him and throw him in the back of his patrol car. It was too funny. At one point he was even tickling his nose with the paper cover off a drink straw to get a smile going. I feel like such a shit though. I’ve really become a home body this last year or two and don’t spend nearly enough time with my friends. Tonight was the first time John has seen James since ummm his last football game of last season. Of course we talk on the phone all the time but I can’t believe I stay so busy that we don’t pop in for even quick visits any more. Gotta work on making more time to spend with everyone. Has anyone else experienced this? As I get older it seems I find less and less time to spend with my dear close friends. Not that I don’t love them or that I don’t want to be with them, it’s just hell with the midget, the hubby, my 9to5, and running serveral companies from home online when the hell can I squeeze it in? I need to though because I so really miss them.
As you all know Bubbie’s two oldest children live in Panama City Beach Florida. Nicole the oldest is due to give birth any day now and I so hope I have free time to go down with him for the delivery or at least to visit soon after. I LOVE PCB!! We’re planning on getting a condo on the beach and spending some vacation time there this year again. We’ll either go for Spring Break in March or in May right after school lets out. We haven’t decided if it’s a visit to Katy & Jo’s house for Spring Break or in May yet. So depending on when we go to Vegas we’ll take the other vacation to PCB.
