Normally I keep my opinions to myself regarding happenings in the news. A very good friend of mine TS used to check CNN and read the paper religiously while talking to me on the phone every day. In an attempt to keep me in the know of the world. Being out in the stix we have satellite tv which doesn’t pickup local news stations any how so long ago I gave up paying attention. Why watch the news anyhow besides weather reports which aren’t exactly accurate it’s basically the same thing every day just different individuals involved. Another robbery, shooting, murder, rape, drug deal gone bad, car jacking, it’s basically the same just the names of those involved change.
But what really gets under my skin and disturbs me to the bone are crimes against children. Children are a precious gift. They did not ask to be born to people who treat them like sub-humans. If you don’t want the responsibility of raising a child and giving of yourself to them selflessly then why on earth torment or kill the child? What ever your situation it is NEVER okay to harm them!!
Yates Not Guilty By Reason Of Insanity
– What a message sent to the world. Sure it’s okay to murder your five children the state will just house and feed you until they feel it’s okay to release you out to the American public potentially killing again since you obviously got away with it the first time..
What the hell was wrong with those jurors?? More importantly what the FOCK was her husband thinking?!? Yates already tried to commit suicide twice previously to the murder of her children. Obviously she was unbalanced, why on earth would her husband leave his children alone with her knowing that she may be a few sandwiches short of a picnic? If all the reports are true about her being mentally unstable why did the father not seek help for his children? A nanny, a grandparent, divorcing the wife and raising the kids on his own, some one should have been looking out for those children. I totally understand that you aren’t given a magical money tree to help you through life. Parents have to work in order to provide for their families and a paid assistant for the children might not have been an option. But hello Mr. Yates you should have seen some kind of signs that your children were not safe and done everything or anything in your power to safe guard them.
Yates stared wide-eyed as the verdict was read, then bowed her head and wept quietly. Her relatives also shed tears, and the children’s father, Rusty Yates, muttered, “Wow!” as he, too, cried. “The jury looked past what happened and looked at why it happened,” Rusty Yates, who divorced his wife last year, said outside the courthouse. “Yes, she was psychotic. That’s the whole truth.”
Is this just a case of hindsight?? You FOCKING moron how could you have lived in the same house with this woman and your children and not worried for their safety if you thought she was “psychotic”. Don’t get me wrong here Mrs. Yates committed the murders and that is a whole different topic what bothers me so much today is this man, this father was not there for his children to protect them. They had two parents one I believe should be sitting on death row and the other should be punished as well. Then again others may not share the same opinion as myself, in other’s minds it may be perfectly acceptable for some one to stand by allowing his children to be cared for by a “psychotic woman”. What ever your opinions are we surely will never all agree on the same one. But for my 2 cents worth I must say bravo Mr. Yates for allowing your children to become victims who had no choice or chance in life and bravo Texas for allowing this murderer to escape the death penalty!! This is the first time in my 28yrs of life I am not proud to have been raised in Texas. If this happened in the olden days in the state of Texas this woman would have been hung from a tree for her crimes. It shames me that the great state of Texas has allowed such a mistrial of justice. Where is the justice for those five children???
