Johnathan had his 4th grade awards ceremony on May 31st. He was so nervous and wondered if he would be presented any awards. Having learned after leaving lower-elementary school that you were now expected to earn awards instead of every child getting one he was nervous. Turns out there was no need to worry! He walked away with several awards and a medal for 3rd place in the reading fair. The book he chose for the fair was “Tales of A Fourth Grade Nothing” by Judy Blume.
He was so excited after being called up on stage for the first award! Adding to his excitement was the fact that in addition to Mom & Grandma sitting in the audience was Grandpa. Grandpa usually can’t get away from work or is out of town when the end of the year awards take place. So looking down from the stage and seeing my Dad just made his day. He really enjoyed the day after the awards show I brought pizza from Pizza Hut to his class for a small year end party. They all had a blast. Wish I would have brought my camera with me to the party but with running around trying to get the pizzas & everything I totally 4got it.
